After starting professional life as an M&A lawyer, Adrian’s career as a projects lawyer took off in Hong Kong. Thirty years on, he now advises surety clients issuing bonds and guarantees in infrastructure and other sectors, as well as owners and operators of power generation facilities at home and abroad.
Supporting your ambitions
Adrian has been instrumental in guiding the surety community through changes affecting its core construction market, the deployment of the surety instrument in diverse new areas such as oil and gas decommissioning and pension deficit bonds, and the advent of portfolio risk cessions between sureties and banks. Recently, Adrian has assisted sureties affected by the collapse of Carillion.
In power generation, Adrian has helped drive the ‘"cradle to grave" approach of construction, routine operation and maintenance, and long term service contracts, enabling owners to resolve technical and commercial issues quickly and "keep the lights on" at combined cycle plants.
