What can I do for you

Alasdair provides coverage advice to insurers across a broad spectrum of Financial Lines products.  He primarily focuses on advising insurers in relation to coverage disputes arising from claims made against Directors & Officers and Transactional Liability (RW&I) policies.

Alasdair has a wealth of experience advising on a wide range of coverage issues, against the full range of Financial Professionals, Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers and Transactional Liability.  He is acutely aware of the need to maintain trust and strong commercial relationships with all key stakeholders while achieving successful, commercially acceptable, outcomes for insurers. 

Alasdair recently successfully defended Insurers in a seminal CAR coverage issue in the Court of Appeal in The Rugby Football Union -v- CSP & Ors [2023]

What else should you know

Outside of work, Alasdair is a long-suffering Scotland Rugby supporter and, having recently moved from London to the countryside, appears to be attempting to build his own farm with two dogs, one cat and three chickens (and plans for a goat!).
