What can Emma do for you?

Emma is a non-contentious lawyer who specialises in construction and engineering contracts. Her role involves advising employers, master developers, funders, landlords and contractors. She is accomplished in drafting, negotiating and completing complex construction contracts, including building contracts, development agreements, framework agreements and consultant appointments. Emma has particular experience with JCT, NEC and ICC contracts.

Supporting your ambitions

Emma advises a number of master developer clients on the construction contracts for key strategic development sites.  Given the complex nature of these sites and the large number of parties and stakeholders involved, Emma has had to take a very pragmatic approach in dealing with third parties in order to get deals over the line and on time. Emma also has to make full use to project trackers and work closely with other members of the team in order to ensure that nothing falls off the radar.

What do others say?

Emma is praised by clients for her “sterling work” in meeting deadlines, her “perseverance and grit” and for her "brilliant" work on a completion which was "spot on".

What else should you know?

Emma takes a particular interest in corporate social responsibility.  Emma is on the Cambridge office's charity committee and ran the London Marathon in 2017 in aid of Blue Smile.  Emma also regularly runs the Cambridge Half Marathon and every year cajoles the rest of the team to enter too!
