What can I do for you

Gregory advises clients both in the UK and abroad on a wide range of wills, succession, tax and trust issues. This usually involves advice on how individuals, partnerships, trustees and companies might restructure the holding of their assets, both from a family and tax perspective. Gregory has particular expertise in advising property owners eg, landed estates and property investors.

Supporting your ambitions

  • Advising the owners of a large landed estate on how to consolidate their land holdings in various family trusts within the family farming partnership into a more straightforward and  tax efficient structure.
  • Giving strategic advice to offshore trustees on how to restructure their UK property portfolios, both commercial and residential, in the light of the recent UK tax changes affecting offshore owners of UK property.
  • Giving advice to a UK family farming partnership on how to structure its land holdings to obtain capital gains tax Entrepreneurs’ Relief on the sale of land for development.

Gregory’s main interests outside the office are skiing, cycling and playing classical guitar.

Before becoming a solicitor, Gregory was an academic and holds a Ph.D. from Trinity College, Cambridge.
