Local government

Local authorities provide vital services for people and businesses in their areas. Our multi-disciplinary team provides specialist advice to local authorities to help them manage their unique complexities and challenges.

Using our bespoke blend of experts in landlord & tenant, real estate disputes, vires, governance, corporate, state aid, procurement, finance and asset management, we can help local authorities to manage key projects and provide legal assistance in areas that may be outside of their own expertise or where they require additional support. For example, we can help manage and/or restructure commercial investments to minimise the impact of a financial downturn, ultimately helping local authorities to deliver the best returns on their portfolios.

We have over 125 lawyers working for government organisations including local authorities. This involves specialists across all major service areas.
