Andrew Tobin has over 20 years’ experience in advising insurers and reinsurers protecting them in litigation and is a specialist in arbitration, where he recognises the importance of negotiated outcomes where possible. He works closely with international lawyers from around the world, particularly in the US. He advises insurers on political risk, trade credit, political violence, specie and jeweller’s block. He also regularly advises on marine, property, construction, energy, mining and heavy industrial risks around the globe.
Paul Dowsey brings a wealth of international experience too, having developed a strong reputation in the London Market for Latin American work, along with clients across Europe, Africa and the Far East. Paul’s practice is focused on direct and international facultative business, with an emphasis on mining, power generation, construction, engineering, processing and downstream oil and gas. In addition Paul has considerable experience in advising on both treaty reinsurance and accident and health business.
