The team is led by Andrew Tobin, a recognised leader in field of political violence insurance Andrew co-authored War Risks and Terrorism (Insurance Institute of London 2007).

Our lawyers’ deep experience in this class includes representing re/insurers on the 9/11 attacks, the Thailand “Redshirt” riots of 2010, the Arab Spring, the civil war in Yemen, riots in Mexico and Chile, tribal attacks on energy projects in Papua New Guinea (2019), the US withdrawal from Afghanistan (2019), civil unrest in Myanmar (2021), the Freedom Convoy in Ottawa (2022) and espionage in London (2023).
