Laura Ludlow is a real estate development lawyer with a strong focus on ESG. She brings considerable experience across commercial property and development, advising owners, investment funds and developers on complex, high-value projects. Laura also plays a leading role in supporting universities and colleges with estate management and development, combining legal expertise with sector-specific insight. As a key member of our nationally recognised education team, she helps clients deliver sustainable, future-ready projects with confidence.

Supporting your ambitions

Property transactions can be complex and involved, requiring collaboration across specialisms. With property and construction law expertise, clients rely on Laura to provide commercial solutions to ensure projects are delivered successfully within the required (often tight) timeframes.

Recent projects include the development of new research facilities for the University of Cambridge and King's College London, the management of several university clients' estates through acquisitions, disposals and lettings, and land acquisition, promotion and development for a master developer. Laura also advises clients, including leading investment funds, on the inclusion and implementation of contractual clauses to set the framework to achieve their ESG targets and aspirations.

Laura leads the M&R Build Environment ESG Services group, helping clients align property strategy with their sustainability goals. She is a member of the BPF Sustainability Committee and the UKSPA Sustainability Special Interest Group.
