Join us as we explore ESG issues and how they impact Mills & Reeve as an organisation, our people, clients and the wider communities that we serve.

For those of you who are new to the topic, ESG is an acronym which stands for Environmental, Social and Governance. Each episode will explore different elements of ESG and delve into the people, teams and practices that make Mills & Reeve a responsibly run, sustainable, diverse and inclusive workplace.

Ep. 9 - Biodiversity with Albanwise

We’re back for season 2 with a brand new host. Join senior sustainability manager, Jessica Wilkes-Ball as we continue to discuss all things ESG.

In this episode, Jessica and Neil Pearson (head of ESG at Mills & Reeve) are treated to a tour of the Beverley countryside with Albanwise environment director, Mike Edwards, and discuss all things biodiversity. Jess, Neil and Mike discuss the Albanwise wetland creations, carbon offsetting and the environmental challenges facing UK farming.
Bonus episode - ESG in the health and care sector

Join Jill Mason, Head of Health and Care at Mills & Reeve as guest host of this special health and care sector episode.

Jill is joined by experts, Steve Fergus, Head of Healthcare at Barclays and Jonathan Freeman, CEO of the Care Tech Foundation and Director of Sustainability at Care Tech. In this episode, we focus on ESG in the food and agribusiness sector. Angie is joined by Alex Kenworthy and Michael Aubrey, partners in the sector, to explore all things ESG in food and agribusiness. They discuss the challenges businesses face, the legal implications and how methods of farming are changing and adapting.
Ep. 5 - Re-entering the legal profession after time away

In this episode, Angie looks at the experiences of women re-entering the legal profession after time away for career changes, childcare or other reasons. Claire Gregory and Tamsin Morris are lawyers in our environmental team, and share their experiences, and the stigmas and barriers they faced. On the other side of things, they also discuss the benefits and gains law firms and hirers can experience by welcoming individuals back into the industry after time away.
