What can Sian do for you?
Sian has 13 years’ experience of advising on employment law matters ranging from large-scale restructures and contractual changes to industrial disputes and complex Tribunal cases. Prior to joining the firm, Sian worked as an in-house employment lawyer and then Head of HR for strategic projects at a Russell Group University.
Supporting your ambitions
Sian specialises in the education sector. She provides expert legal advice to support you in the attraction, retention and development of the people that will enable your education institution to thrive. This has included advising on the performance management of academics in preparation for REF 2021, restructuring a medical and dental school to align to its new teaching and research strategy and action plans to increase diversity and reduce pay gaps. ​Sian’s project experience has included the development of a framework for staffing for a new international campus and a framework for the engagement of casual workers.

What else should you know?
Sian has just completed her Chartered Institute for Personnel Development (CIPD) Level 7 qualification. She has a particular interest in employee wellbeing and her CIPD research project was on the role of line managers in the effective management of staff wellbeing.
Between studying and working, Sian bakes, runs, drinks wine and plays superheroes with her two young children.
