Education and research sector 2023 partner promotions

We’re really pleased to welcome two new partners to the education and research sector partner team.  Both have considerable experience and will help ensure we continue to offer outstanding service to our clients across the sector.  Jennifer Lewis is based in Manchester and Poppy Short in Cambridge.

Jennifer Lewis

Jennifer is a part of the real estate team, specialising in education in particular working with Universities and FE colleges. Her extensive clients include University of Salford, Manchester Metropolitan University, RNCM, University of Liverpool, University of Huddersfield, and LTE Group (The Manchester College). In the Legal 500 (2022) Jennifer was recognised as a specialist in this sector.

Poppy Short

Poppy specialises in advising higher education institutions, schools, academies, and large charities on a broad range of corporate law, charity law, governance, regulatory and funding issues. Poppy enjoys developing strong client relationships and uses her knowledge and understanding of the sector to help clients meet their strategic objectives. She's an Innovation Champion at Mills & Reeve, and is passionate about driving innovation to develop our client service. Poppy has been listed as a ‘rising star’ in the higher education legal field in the legal directories for several years.
