Kate specialises in government commercial contracts and construction law. She advises public and private sector clients across a range of sectors, including defence, education, real estate investment and development.
Kate supports government clients on major procurements and complex commercial contracts, advising from project strategy and contract drafting through to contract management and operational delivery. She has particular experience supporting central government departments on high-value and business-critical projects.
Kate's construction practice focuses on building safety remediation and major development projects. She advises freeholders, universities, developers and commercial landlords on remediation programmes, new developments and the construction documentation required to deliver them successfully.

Kate advises the Maritime & Coastguard Agency and the Ministry of Defence on procurements, commercial contracts and contract management matters. She has experience adapting the Model Services Contract for bespoke projects and advises on the drafting, negotiation and management of complex commercial agreements.
Kate supports clients to incorporate technical requirement documents into contractual frameworks and develop proportionate performance management and governance regimes. Throughout the lifecycle of a project, Kate advises on the allocation and management of risk, whilst working closely with client teams to ensure contracts support their strategic, operational and commercial objectives.
She also works with clients on facilities management arrangements, advising on the procurement, drafting and management of contracts for a range of sites, including student accommodation and government estates.
In the construction sector, Kate advises on Building Safety Act compliance, remediation projects and new developments. Her work includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments and remediation works agreements, and she has extensive experience on JCT and NEC forms of contract.
