Lauren is a Trainee Solicitor in the Regulatory and Public Law Disputes team, specialising in healthcare law. She acts for Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), NHS Trusts and other healthcare organisations on a broad range of health and welfare matters.
Lauren advises on a variety of healthcare issues and supports clients primarily in Court of Protection proceedings concerning mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and best interests decision-making. She also advises on inquests and public law challenges, including judicial review.
Additionally, Lauren has experience working on complex and time-sensitive matters, including serious medical treatment cases requiring urgent applications to court. She recently assisted in representing an NHS Trust in the reported case of Re RS (Best Interests: Surgery and Intensive Care) [2025] EWCOP 38 (T3), which considered whether complex scoliosis surgery and intensive post-operative care were in an individual's best interests.
