What can I do for you
Namita leads the Living sector at Mills & Reeve, bringing together the firm’s work across affordable housing, later living, build to rent, co‑living and student accommodation within its wider Built Environment practice.
She works with registered providers, local authorities and developers to deliver housing in a way that is both practical and commercially sound. Her experience includes land and development acquisitions (including mixed tenure and fully affordable schemes), section 106 purchases, stock rationalisation and charging and securitisation projects.
She also advises on grant-funded development, including Homes England and GLA funding, ensuring that legal structures align with funding conditions, delivery milestones and longer-term asset management requirements.
Supporting your ambitions
Namita spent five years in-house at a registered provider of social housing (RP), supporting development teams to meet programme targets and leading on all charging and securitisation work. That experience means she integrates quickly into client teams, takes a practical, commercially focused approach, and understands the internal pressures around delivery, funding and governance.
Her expertise spans the full lifecycle of affordable housing, from acquisition through to charging. This joined-up approach helps ensure that schemes are structured with long-term funding and operational requirements in mind, maximising the value of property portfolios and supporting future borrowing capacity.
In practice, Namita supports clients to navigate complex transactions while maintaining momentum and protecting delivery. For example, she helps identify and manage risks early, structure acquisitions to preserve chargeability, and align legal documentation with funding requirements so schemes are ready for charging without delay. This not only reduces friction post-completion but also helps unlock funding that can be reinvested into existing homes and new development.
Namita is focused on helping clients deliver schemes efficiently, securely and with a clear line of sight to long-term value.
