Inspiring Women in Technology

1 min read

A series of virtual discussions with leaders, key players and “up and coming” specialists in the tech scene on how women can break into the industry, overcome challenges and forge a meaningful and successful career in tech.

We interview inspiring and successful women from across the technology sector about the challenges and experiences they have faced.

At each event you can:

  • hear from inspiring women in technology about their experiences, including the challenges and opportunities they have faced in their careers
  • take away practical tips to inspire you in your career in tech
  • network and discuss relevant issues with others working in the tech sector (albeit virtually).

The events are not exclusive to women and everyone is welcome. Please see recordings of previous events below.

We also run face to face events across the regions.

In this Inspiring Women in Tech webinar, recorded on 9 February 2022, we look at some of the fundamentals of building a brand, and protecting that brand. This is a start-to-finish conversation about business branding, whether you are running a business or thinking of starting one.
Recorded on 7 October, the panel included Winna Bridgewater (senior engineering manager at Cazoo) and Carolyn Keenan (project manager at BSEEN), along with Fay Lyttle and Kirsty McCollum (Mills & Reeve) and Victoria Masso (Scale & Connect).
Mills & Reeve’s Fay Lyttle speaks to Debbie Assinder (Women in Tech Awards), Priyanka Jhooty (Chair of Aston Computer Science Society), and Melissa Snover (CEO and founder Get Nourished) about how they became involved in the sector, their ambitions for the future diversity of the sector, and their advice for women already in or looking to join the tech sector.
Our speakers discuss how they have accessed the tech sector, and the challenges and positivity they have encountered along the way.
Recorded on 16 September 2020 in conjunction with One HealthTech and Code Nation. This is the first virtual Inspiring Women in Technology event, on 'finding your 'appy place.'
