People Matter: education webinar

Patrick Gass and Hannah Reid discuss the latest legal developments under the Employment Rights Act affecting higher education institutions in relation to collective redundancy, harassment and zero/low hours contracts.

This session provides a practical update on key developments under the ERA, including the latest position on collective redundancy (with a focus on the protective award trigger point), forthcoming changes to employer duties in relation to third‑party harassment and the “all reasonable steps” defence, and the recently launched consultation on zero and low hours contracts. We discuss what these developments mean for higher education institutions, and the steps you can be taking now to prepare.
