Lauren is a specialist construction lawyer who has worked in construction law for several years, advising developers, property owners, investors, landlords, occupiers and public sector bodies on complex development, refurbishment, engineering and building safety projects.
She advises across the project lifecycle, from procurement and project structuring through to contract negotiation, delivery and completion. Her experience includes master development, build to rent, commercial offices, laboratories and life sciences, refurbishment, fit out and specialist engineering projects. Lauren regularly advises on construction contracts including JCT, NEC and MF/1, development agreements, consultant appointments, frameworks, guarantees and bonds.
Building safety is a significant part of Lauren’s practice. She regularly advises on the Building Safety Act 2022 and wider building regulations regime, including the Gateway regime and dutyholder requirements, as well as substantive cladding, fire safety and wider remediation projects across residential and mixed use portfolios and complex ownership structures.

Lauren drives progress and is comfortable getting into the project detail. She works as an extension of her clients’ in-house teams, investing time in understanding their business, stakeholders, project teams and commercial priorities.
Lauren has particular experience of projects involving multiple agreements, parties and competing interests. This is particularly important where construction contracts sit alongside complex property interests, access requirements, regulatory approvals, funding arrangements and relationships between freeholders, tenants and residents.
She brings together different contractual and project workstreams, coordinates with external advisers and identifies issues that could prevent progress.
Her approach is personable, collaborative and practical. Lauren understands that projects rarely involve a single agreement or stakeholder. Her focus is not simply on producing the right legal documents. She takes ownership, gets on with the job and helps clients and their project teams keep matters moving.
