Chris acts for a wide range of clients on property-related disputes and supports many of our transaction teams. As a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, Chris regularly supports our agribusiness sector clients, as well as supporting clients in the commercial and residential property sectors.
Chris has a particular interest in protest-related possession and injunction claims and regularly acts on behalf of universities. Also, as a member of our telecoms team, Chris regularly acts for landowners in relation to lease renewals and claims for the removal of telecoms equipment, particularly in the context of redevelopment.
Chris’ work covers all landlord and tenant issues, trusts of land disputes, nuisance claims, rights of way and other easements, trespass and boundary disputes.
Supporting your ambitions
Chris formed part of the team who successfully represented an agricultural investment company in a high value and complex arbitration involving issues relating to lease interpretation and technical expert issues on the operation of biomass heating systems used for poultry production.
Chris acted for a Cambridge College defending a town and village green application and a construction company in connection with a major noise nuisance claim in respect of a private criminal prosecution under the Environmental Protection Act.
Chris recently acted for the University of Cambridge in injunction proceedings to prohibit protest-related trespass and nuisance at several university sites (University of Cambridge v Persons Unknown & European Legal Support Center & Liberty [2025] EWHC 2330 (KB).

Chris became a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association in February 2025.
Chris is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Chris was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year 2019 by the Norfolk and Norwich Law Society.
