David works in the London office of the firm's insurance disputes team, specialising in advising insurers on coverage, as well as defending negligence claims made against professionals, particularly in the construction sector. David commonly advises on insurance policy disputes and the extent of cover afforded, with particular emphasis on cyber, professional indemnity and technology risks. 

Supporting your ambitions

David's advice on the cover afforded by a cyber policy recently assisted an insurer in resolving an urgent dispute with a significant European insured, claiming business interruption losses due to the failure of one of its suppliers IT systems. The combination of David's experience in advising on policy response, alongside his commercial approach to resolving the dispute lead to an outcome which balanced the interests of the insurers with that of their insured and assisted in preserving their ongoing commercial relationship.

Commonly mistaken for being South African, David is a native Swede who spent his teenage years in Australia before moving to Sheffield for his studies. This unique combination has meant he is one of the few who can make informed decisions about LBW appeals while constructing flat-pack furniture.
