New guidance on the new Liberty Protection Safeguards process

The Department of Health and Social Care has published its third LPS newsletter updating Liberty Protection Safeguard stakeholders of key updates regarding the progress on implementation of LPS. You can read our earlier post here where we highlight the new LPS document collection page and the note of October’s steering group meeting trailing the 12 week consultation on the draft Regulations and Code of Practice in the spring of 2021.

Of interest to practitioners will be the LPS Factsheet Two featured in this newsletter – we reported on the first Factsheet in an earlier post which you can read here – this second Factsheet is a Walkthrough of the Liberty Protection Safeguards process. You can read it here.
