Primary care

Having supported the establishment of over 60 PCNs who are all delivering integrated care at their respective ‘neighbourhood levels’, we have been heavily involved in the creation of corporate vehicles that act as so called provider arms for groupings of PCNs so they can operate at ‘place level’.

The active involvement of and engagement with Primary Care within any ICS will be an essential part of any truly integrated health and care system. Whilst the volume of providers working within Primary Care and their unique contractual arrangements can prove a challenge to achieving such an active involvement, having been actively involved in the full spectrum of work involving the development of Primary Care, we have extensive experience when it comes to establishing, developing and refining the arrangements under which Primary Care providers can successfully work with one another at neighbourhood level whilst integrating upwards at both the place and systems levels.

We have supported:

  • over 60 Primary Care Networks in the development of their contractual and operational arrangements, including the refinement of their Network Agreements
  • over 15 Primary Care Networks (and counting) when it comes to “PCN Incorporations”
  • various PCNs with the contractual arrangements with third party providers
  • supported commissioners and providers in creating governance arrangements to enable the joint working and representation of Primary Care within their wider health and care systems
