In Cambridge and Norwich, the teams scooped the Corporate Law Firm of the Year Award at the Insider Central and East of England Dealmakers Awards 2022 which took place in Milton Keynes last week.
It was the second year in a row that Mills & Reeve picked up the coveted award after another exceptional 12 months where the teams acted on deals worth around £1.5bn.
The judges said: “In a notably successful year, the Mills & Reeve corporate teams in Cambridge and Norwich have strengthened their market-leading practice in the region through the breadth, complexity, scale and impact of their work. Of note for the judges was the number of international deals they have worked on recently. This and the firm's commitment to adding value to clients, as evidenced by its ambition to achieve a 95 per cent client recommendation rate by 2025, made it the stand-out law firm for the judges this year.”
Meanwhile in Yorkshire the team, headed up by partner Paul Johnson, won the Corporate and Commercial Award at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2022 after an outstanding year which saw the team advise on deals worth more than £1bn.
The judges said: “Mills & Reeve is a standout firm doing incredibly valuable work. Its deal value is exceptional and its pro bono efforts on behalf of charities and not-for-profits are exemplary. A superb win for a fantastic firm.”
