We have strengthened our litigation practice with the appointment of a head of commercial disputes in London. Eric France joins the firm after 10 years at Clifford Chance.

He specialises in insurance, professional negligence and IT disputes, and acts for insurers, policyholders, financial institutions, investment funds and corporates on complex, high value litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations.

Jamie Wheatley, head of our national commercial litigation practice, said: “Our clients’ businesses and their transactions are increasingly international. Eric’s insurance expertise and his complex disputes background mean we can provide a versatile commercial disputes capability in London, where many of our clients’ cross-border disputes are determined.”

Neil Davis, head of the firm’s insurance sector and London office head, said: “Eric’s arrival further strengthens the breadth of service which our established team can offer to the insurance industry, especially with regards to advising insurers and other insurance businesses, as well as assisting with FCA investigations and other contentious regulatory issues.” Mills & Reeve’s litigation and disputes team is one of the largest in the UK, offering 65 partners and 187 litigation solicitors.
