Mills & Reeve shakes up technology law market with hire of top UK partner to spearhead its national and international services

Mills & Reeve has recruited high-profile, pioneering technology lawyer and founder of Technology Law Alliance, Jagvinder Singh Kang, as its new International Head of IT.

This high-profile partner appointment, sends a clear message to the legal industry, that Mills & Reeve is determined to go “head to head” with the Magic Circle and other leading law firms in the field of technology law.

Jagvinder is well-known for shaking up the technology law market since founding specialist law firm, Technology Law Alliance in 2003. He has built up a market leading reputation in the technology law field, having advised on billions of pounds worth of technology transactions, involving some of the largest global companies

As a result, he has been consistently recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers as an “elite technology lawyer”, having been top ranked by both legal directories for nine consecutive years. Jagvinder has also been inducted into Legal 500’s “Hall of Fame” in 2019, for his excellence in the field of technology law.

His market leading expertise spans over 20 years on mission-critical and high-value IT, data protection and technology contracts for both customers and suppliers of technology solutions and services.

Jagvinder has a unique background, being triple qualified as a technology lawyer, a specialist data protection lawyer, and a qualified software engineer with a first class honours degree in computer science and software engineering. He has also completed the academic requirements for chartered engineer status.
