What can I do for you

Elaine is an insurance lawyer, focusing on professional indemnity claims.  She originally joined the team in 2010, before leaving in 2016 to work in-house in the risk & compliance team of a top 100 global law firm.  Having led on professional indemnity and related insurances within the risk & compliance team, Elaine returned to Mills & Reeve in 2019.

From her time in-house, Elaine understands what it is like to be the client.  She is acutely aware of the financial, reputational and emotional effect that claims can have on businesses and individuals, as well as the significant time involved which often takes people away from their own client commitments.  Elaine therefore strives to get claims to a resolution at the earliest opportunity.

Elaine is also well-placed to advise clients about how to deal with mistakes before they become claims; own interest conflicts and when clients should cease acting; and risk management initiatives which secure employee engagement.
