Our experience

Our talented lawyers have years of experience dealing with disputes involving children. We are known for successfully dealing with cases where there is a high degree of parental conflict, financial disputes or where there is an international dimension. Recently, we have:

  • Provided urgent advice to a mother involved in high-conflict proceedings where international child abduction was alleged. We obtained legal advice from the other country involved and made an emergency application to the High Court to resolve the dispute quickly.
  • Successfully negotiated a mother's relocation abroad with her child, ensuring the child's relationship with the father was fully supported after the move.
  • Represented parents in highly sensitive cases involving allegations of sexual abuse, alcohol addiction and domestic abuse – often where there are simultaneous police investigations and criminal proceedings. We work closely with professionals such as child psychologists and family therapists to find a child-focussed solution.
  • Successfully represented a high-profile father in proceedings where he wanted to relocate to another country with his child, a decision upheld by the Court of Appeal.
  • Supported parents in mediation, helping them to resolve discrete issues such as schooling and financial support in time and cost-effective way.
