Northern Contentious Probate Group

The Northern Contentious Probate Group, or NCPG, is a networking and education group for professionals in the North of England who act in relation to estate, will and trust disputes of all sorts.

The group meets three times a year, usually alternating between Manchester and Leeds venues (although sometimes going further afield) for educational seminars together with networking opportunities.

For further information, or to join the master mailing list, please contact Simon Pedley here at Mills & Reeve, and he will add you to the list.

GDPR notice

The membership of the NCPG is contained on an email circulation list, maintained by Simon Pedley at Mills & Reeve LLP.

Simon Pedley/Mills & Reeve is the data controller in terms of this address list.

The personal data of members is used for the purposes of circulating matters of interest to the group (including details of regular meetings), and enabling other email exchanges between members on topics relevant to the group’s area of interest. Mills & Reeve LLP therefore has a legitimate interest in circulating emails (whereby members’ email addresses are seen by others) in this way, and therefore Mills & Reeve LLP does not need specific opt-in consent from any member.

The only personal data thus circulated are members’ email addresses and the fact of their interest in this area of law. We do not consider that these are sensitive data.

By being on this list, this means:

  1. Members will receive emails from Simon Pedley/Mills & Reeve LLP and others in the group, on topics relevant to our area of interest, in a way in which all the recipients’ emails are seen by all. These emails are usually in relation to meetings of the group, but occasionally deal with other matters.
  2. The up to date list of members’ email addresses will be sent to whichever firm is hosting a group event, and members’ details are therefore likely to be added to that firm’s database for the purposes of inviting you to events.

Any member can ask to be taken off the circulation list at any time and each member has a formal right to object to this personal data processing. However, please note that such a request will not remove you from any other marketing lists you are on at any member firm.
