HR Energy: Skills in the workplace (part two)
For our December HR Energy event we'll be joined by Jim Blythe. We are following on from what Andy Lancaster covered at the last HR Energy session in September by keeping the focus on skills.
The UK’s skills shortage is changing the way we all work, and HR sits right at the heart of the response. This isn’t something that can be fixed overnight; it calls for a thoughtful, long-term approach.
In this session, we’ll look at how people professionals can move beyond short-term solutions to build lasting capability, by understanding where the real gaps are, creating structured development opportunities, and using apprenticeships to grow the skills our organisations truly need.
We’ll also explore how emerging technologies, including AI, can help us identify talent, personalise learning and plan for the future. Join us for a practical, honest discussion about what works and how HR can lead the way in closing the skills gap.
