Voice of the Child

Our theme for Children Law Awareness Week this year is Voice of the Child, reflecting the increasingly important focus on ensuring children's voices are heard throughout the family justice system.

Please join us for an informative webinar exploring why hearing the voice of the child matters from three different perspectives. We will hear from young people themselves through representatives of the Family Justice Young People's Board, from the judiciary on how and when judges may meet with children during proceedings and communicate outcomes, and from Alison Bull, Mills & Reeve Partner and Child Inclusive Mediator, who will consider how children's voices can be heard outside the court process.

By the end of the session, you will have gained practical insight into why children's voices matter, how they can be heard more effectively within and beyond court proceedings, and the role professionals can play in ensuring children remain at the heart of decision-making.

Whether you're a family law professional, mediator or advisor working with children and families, this session will provide valuable insights into current thinking and best practice.

Do you have any questions you'd like to submit in advance?
If so, please submit here and we will do our best to cover them during the session.

If you require adjustments to take part in this webinar, please complete our requirements form.
