The Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust has supported a wide range of local and national charities in 2023/2024 with £230,000 in donations.
Each year, the Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust donates to those in need; with the charitable theme for the year being the relief of poverty, the Trust’s donations reflected this commitment.
Key donations included £22,000 to the Red Cross, £7,600 to Whitechapel Mission, £7,500 to the Felix Project which fights hunger and food waste, £7,500 to IntoUniversity, and £23,500 to the Hygiene Bank, the chosen charity for the firm’s annual Charity Challenge.
The Trust continued its support for local foodbanks, donating approximately £45,000 over the past year. This included a £7,000 donation to foodbanks during the festive period in the cities where our seven offices are located, supporting those who might not have had the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy the festive season in the way many are fortunate enough to. Additionally, a recent donation of £20,000 was made to the DEC appeal for the Middle East.
Charles Staveley, senior partner at Mills & Reeve, said: "I am really proud of the achievements of the Mills & Reeve Charitable Trust over the past year, chaired so ably by Justin Ripman. The donations made to various local and national charities reflect our dedication to making a difference in our communities. Our commitment to supporting those in need is central to our donations policy and we are pleased to have the opportunity to give back."
