Strengthening our regional influence with three partners appointed to CBI Regional Councils

Mills & Reeve has announced that three of our partners and heads of office have been appointed to the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Regional Councils, reinforcing our commitment to shaping policy and driving positive change for businesses across the UK.

The CBI’s Regional and National Councils form part of its formal governance structure, bringing together more than 600 senior business leaders from over 400 member organisations. Council members play a vital role in influencing policy, gaining timely political and economic insights, and building connections with key stakeholders.

Representing Mills & Reeve on the CBI Regional Councils are:

•    Craig Hodgson, partner and head of Norwich office
•    Jayne Hussey, partner and head of Birmingham office
•    Andrew Secker, partner and head of London office

Craig Hodgson said: "It is a privilege to sit on the East of England CBI Regional Council to help ensure the voice of East Anglian businesses is heard. I’m looking forward to collaborating with other leaders to ensure that we effectively influence policy in a way that supports growth and innovation in our region and improves living standards for those communities in which we live and work."

Jayne Hussey added: "Being part of the CBI Regional Council is a fantastic opportunity to ensure the voice of Midlands businesses is heard. As part of the Midlands CBI Council, I really enjoy collaborating with other leaders to ensure that we effectively influence policy in a way that supports the great opportunities for growth and innovation in our region."

Andrew Secker said further: “London’s continued success depends on a strong, connected business community. Through the CBI London Council, I want to contribute to practical discussions that tackle real challenges - whether around growth, skills or regulation - and help reinforce what makes London a brilliant place to live and work.”

These appointments highlight Mills & Reeve’s active role in influencing change and making strong connections for the good of business in our regions.
