What can Amy do for you?
Amy is an associate within the insurance disputes team acting for insurance companies and their insured clients, defending negligence claims against a variety of individuals and businesses in the legal, financial and construction sectors. Amy's work defending such claims assists insurers, but also helps reduce the potential adverse effects of such claims to professionals' client relationships and reputations.
Supporting your ambitions
Amy recently assisted defending a £2.25 million claim against solicitors by a former client, in relation to advice they gave about their client's divorce. The claim was struck out and the claimant ordered to pay our client's costs of the action. The presence of the family team in the Manchester office meant that they were able to assist and provide guidance as to whether the advice given by the client was appropriate.
What do others say?
Amy recently assisted a barrister to defend a spurious claim by a former client. The matter was struck out and the client was "delighted" at the outcome stating that he was "very pleased to be able to put this ridiculous action out of my mind, safe in the knowledge that you’ve always had it well under control."
