Andrew specialises in advising insurers and their insured clients on professional indemnity matters. Andrew is regularly instructed to defend claims against a broad range of professionals, including; architects, engineers, surveyors, solicitors, financial advisers, insurance brokers and medical professionals. In addition to defending claims, Andrew frequently advises insurers on complex policy and coverage issues.

Supporting your ambitions

One of Andrew’s recent highlights involved advising a national firm of architects (and their insurer) in respect of alleged design failures in the conversion of a derelict barn into a high specification residential property. The case required Andrew to analyse expert evidence in numerous fields, with co-defendants added into the litigation at different stages. Andrew played a pivotal role in the negotiation of a multi-party settlement, which represented an advantageous outcome for his client and a significant reduction in the damages that were initially claimed.
