What can I do for you

Carina is passionate about working with other professionals and clients on alternative ways of delivering large, mixed used communities across the country. She understands the importance of a patient approach and the need for flexibility in each client’s model of delivery.

Carina leads our development and regeneration sub-sector, supporting our experienced cross sector, cross-office team. This interest means she has experience of working with all manner of stakeholders on such projects, as well as providing comments on potential structures as they emerge in this sphere, such as Strategic Land and the Stewardship Model.

Carina's a member of the British Property Federation's Build to Rent committee, advising and supporting the committee on this ever-changing market.

Carina is an expert in mixed-use development schemes, real estate led joint venture agreements and large scale projects. She enjoys being an extension of her clients' teams, which include PLCs, companies and landowner consortiums. Carina focuses on structuring and analysing how transactions are delivered in order to achieve her clients' commercial aim (while also injecting fun in the process).

What do others say

Clients find Carina "measured and responsive", and say "she is an exceptionally talented real estate lawyer who is one step ahead. She makes our lives a lot easier and has solutions before we've thought of the problem."

A large development client of Carina's describes her as "the Mary Poppins of the property world; diligent, tenacious and technically strong."

Supporting your ambitions

Carina's clients are ambitious, diverse, and focused in their pursuits. Her highlights include: working with a market leading master developer on innovative means of site assembly (including navigating challenging planning issues), and revolutionising the options of how large scale settlements are delivered in terms of both infrastructure and housing.

The other side of Carina's practice involves her helping clients structure, fund, and then project managing real estate led corporate restructurings and volume acquisitions and disposals. These projects often span multi disciplines, may involve different jurisdictions, require a close working relationship with the client's board and other professional advisors, tax, planning and environmental consultants, and are often time critical.

What else should you know?

Carina's part of the firm’s board and is passionate about the development of the next generation of lawyers, regularly sitting on promotion panels and acting as a mentor for lawyers at all levels.

Carina champions the physical and mental benefits of exercise. She will be found in the gym before 6am, willingly and with a smile on her face!
