What can Harriet do for you?

Harriet has worked at Mills & Reeve since 2014 having previously been a partner in the insurance group of another major law firm.

Harriet uses her business experience and insight to assist professional clients facing litigation. They typically include solicitors, construction professionals, brokers and accountants. She has an impressive portfolio of experience within the professional indemnity arena including fraud and asset recovery.

In her role as senior legal adviser, she supports the insurance sector as a whole providing legal and insurance business updates training and development.

Supporting my clients' ambitions

Adopting her straightforward, fresh and plain speaking approach enables clients to experience litigation in a less complicated and confusing way. Clients are attracted to her ability to trouble shoot at short notice on a variety of professional indemnity issues.

Harriet is known by insurer clients as imaginative and tenacious. During multi–party, lengthy and expensive litigation, her firm but fair approach to negotiation enabled a settlement for clients without an increase in reserves set 10 years earlier.

Her knowledge and leadership skills leave clients feeling confident they are in the right hands.

What do others say?

Harriet has been described as a "formidable opponent" in the legal journals at the same time as maintaining the empathy and intuition to handle sensitive issues well.

What else should you know?

Harriet has a particular interest in mental health issues affecting young children.

She has been involved in creating, ongoing development and production of the insurance webinar series, Covertalk, since its inception; actively involved at seminars, including the Professional Indemnity Forum Conference in Cambridge, an innovation champion at Mills & Reeve, and remains a keen ballet dancer in her spare time.
