Ian is a senior associate within the insurance disputes team. He frequently defends claims brought against solicitors, barristers, brokers and accountants.

Ian's work highlights include:
- representing solicitors and barristers in lost litigation cases, particularly those arising from personal injury actions
- representing brokers in claims arising from alleged late notification of insurers
- representing accountants in claims arising from alleged negligent tax advice
- representing auditors in claims arising from an alleged failure to detect fraud
Whilst at his previous firm, Ian assisted with the successful appeal to the Supreme Court in the case of Perry v Raleys Solicitors, which was the first occasion the Supreme Court had considered the correct approach to issues of loss of chance.
