Senior Associate

What can I do for you

James is a senior associate in our commercial team, having completed his training with Mills & Reeve in 2019. He regularly works with clients in the life sciences and technology sectors on a broad range of commercial matters, from drafting various types of commercial contract to advising on the protection and exploitation of intellectual property rights, as well as supporting on data protection law queries which commonly arise in those industries.

Supporting your ambitions

James has particular experience of the life sciences sector, having been seconded to the in-house legal teams at a major pharmaceuticals company and a multinational diagnostics client. He worked closely with those companies to protect their commercial interests and the intellectual property rights in their proprietary materials and other results data. James has also supported pharmaceuticals clients in the development of key contractual documentation relating to the global organisation of clinical trials for their new products.

He's also a member of our technology and government teams and has recently supported clients from these sectors engaging in key research collaborations, as well as assisting a public sector client in the preparation of a suite of contracts relating to the procurement of a new computer system and related IT services.
