What can I do for you

Laura established and leads our real estate finance practice which combines the skills of being a finance solicitor and an experienced real estate lawyer.  Laura has a broad range of clients ranging from banks and debt funds lending into the real estate investment and development market, corporate investors and developers raising finance and public bodies providing infrastructure and development finance.

Supporting your ambitions

Having started her legal career working for a large retail plc, Laura brings practical solutions to complex legal issues.  In a recent transaction for a major debt fund, Laura's experience in dealing with service charge and recoverable costs issues led to her being able to broker a solution to a potential valuation issue by negotiating escrow account provisions between the seller and the borrower that were satisfactory from a lending perspective.  Laura regularly works with our planning, construction and tax teams to provide a seamless offering to real estate funders or borrowers.

What else should you know

Laura heads up the firm's Offshore Desk managing relationships with our best friend firms and contacts in the Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman, Bermuda and Luxembourg (most places where the sun shines and the cocktails are good will be considered part of the Desk!).

Laura is a keen equestrian and in her leisure time, Laura enjoys travelling and tennis.
