Nathan is a solicitor in our construction, engineering and energy disputes team. He has acted for a range of stakeholders across the construction sector including employers, main contractors and specialist subcontractors. Nathan has acted for clients in adjudication, arbitration and litigation and has significant experience in disputes related to defective building works, payment notices and delay.
Since joining Mills & Reeve Nathan has expanded his practice to incorporate complex engineering claims and high value public infrastructure projects.

Nathan understands that, broadly speaking, clients want to avoid disputes. He's provided detailed, pragmatic, and commercially grounded advice to clients which has allowed them to negotiate disputes at an early stage, before formal dispute proceedings have commenced and before significant legal costs have been expended.
Where disputes cannot be avoided, Nathan takes a measured, methodical, and proportionate approach to dispute resolution. He has successfully acted for a client in the Central London County Court and in a High Court appeal defending a main contractor in a claim for a mandatory injunction and damages for business interruption.
Nathan's enthusiastic about understanding clients’ desired outcomes and developing a strategy that is capable of achieving those outcomes. His tactically astute approach has allowed clients to find novel solutions to their disputes which cannot be achieved in court.
