Yasteel is a construction disputes lawyer and specialises in the guidance and resolution of disputes in the construction and engineering industry.
He is familiar with issues arising on the JCT, NEC, FIDIC and PPC2000 forms and has advised both employers and contractors in relation to issues arising during and post the construction period, as well as on complex construction disputes. These include delay claims for extensions of time and loss and expense, defects, liability, quantum and payment. He has also advised on contract administration and management including termination, notices in relation to liquidated/delay damages and general contractual compliance.
Whilst he is experienced with formal dispute resolution methods, including adjudication, arbitration, litigation, he understands that the needs of his client’s vary and has assisted them to enter into commercial settlements and provided advice in relation to resolving differences through alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and facilitated discussions.
