Today (23 January 2023) the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 come into force. These place greater responsibilities on responsible persons (as defined by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) in buildings with two or more sets of domestic premises that are:
- of any height and which have common parts through which residents would need to evacuate.
- at least 18 metres or 7 storeys high.
- above 11 metres in height.
See my blog published on 7 December 2022 for key areas of greater responsibility.
