In the first significant set of amendments for some time, FIDIC (the International Federation of Consulting Engineers) has announced that at the FIDIC Contract User’s Conference being held in London on 4-7 December 2017 they will release new forms of the following contracts. They are:
- Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Employer, known as the Red Book;
- Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-build for Electrical and Mechanical Plant and for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Contractor, known as the Yellow Book; and
- Conditions of Contract for Engineering Procurement and Construction/Turnkey Projects, known as the Silver Book.
