Failure to prevent fraud offence and changes to the identification principle

A new corporate criminal offence of failing to prevent fraud, punishable by unlimited fine, will come into force next year (on a date to be confirmed).  In addition, on 26 December this year the “identification principle” will change, making it easier for larger organisations to be prosecuted for certain economic crimes, including specified fraud offences.
