What can Christine do for you?
Christine is an experienced lawyer specialising in development projects. She works with landowners, developers and development managers on the acquisition, promotion and building out of sites for new homes and mixed use schemes. Christine has a particular expertise in advising on establishing estate management strategies for the long-term stewardship of community facilities and open spaces in new residential-led developments.
Supporting your ambitions
One of Christine's projects is Urban&Civic's development of Alconbury Weald. This major, masterdeveloper-led scheme is for a new community of 5,000+ homes, offices, factories and extensive community facilities and open space. Working alongside the firm's planning and construction specialists, and drawing on her extensive experience of dealing with housebuilders and developers, Christine and her team handle complex transactions using streamlined processes to accelerate land sales and development. By adopting a standard approach to novel and bespoke commercial arrangements she facilitates her client's decision-making and helps them in the role of master developer creating a new place.
What do others say?
Chambers and Partners 2020 says: Christine is especially adept in development matters, advising on management agreements, landowner collaboration agreements and promotion agreements. A client is quoted as saying, "She is excellent - very personable and collaborative."
What else should you know?
My experience of working with clients as they bring forward large-scale new developments is that place-making is at the heart of successful projects. My particular interest in estate management strategies, making and keeping open spaces for people and nature to thrive helps me, as a Trustee to support Nene Park Trust and the land that makes Peterborough City's Country Park.
