What can Christine do for you?
Christine is an experienced lawyer specialising in development projects. She works with landowners, developers and development managers on the acquisition, promotion and building out of sites for new homes and mixed use schemes. Christine has a particular expertise in advising on establishing estate management strategies for the long-term stewardship of community facilities and open spaces in new housing-led developments.
Supporting your ambitions
One of Christine's projects is Urban&Civic's development of Alconbury Weald. This major scheme is for a new community of 5,000 homes, offices, factories and extensive community facilities and open space. Working alongside the firm's planning and construction specialists, and drawing on her extensive experience of dealing with house builders and developers, Christine and her team handle complex transactions using streamlined processes to accelerate land sales and development. By adopting a standard approach to novel and bespoke commercial arrangements she facilitates her client's decision-making and helps them in the role of master developer creating a new place.
What do others say?
Chambers and Partners 2018 says: Christine is noted for her skillful handling of land sales and acquisitions. A client is quoted as saying, "She's an exceptionally thorough lawyer who really cares about the advice she's giving. She goes the extra mile to make sure everything is as we need it".
What else should you know?
My experience of working with clients as they bring forward large-scale new developments is that the better the place-making, the more successful their projects are. This is what has led me to having a particular interest in estate management strategies, which in turn has resulted in my appointment as a Trustee of the Nene Park Trust, Peterborough City's Country Park.
