What can Helen do for you?
Helen is a member of the national healthcare team, providing specialist advice and representation to NHS and private healthcare clients in relation to the application of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, including Court of Protection welfare proceedings; the Mental Health Act; Continuing Healthcare/Children's Continuing Care; serious medical treatment and end of life care.
Supporting your ambitions
Helen has assisted clients to obtain urgent orders in relation to serious medical treatment for both children and adults in order to ensure timely and lawful treatment. She advises in decision-making processes involving non-heath statutory partners; assists clients in deciding the level of care packages in the community where those are contested and regularly advises on the overlap and application of the Mental Capacity Act/Mental Health Act/Continuing Healthcare to ensure clients are acting lawfully in the commissioning or delivery of care.
Helen is experienced in dealing with urgent matters and those that attract a high level of press interest.
