What can Rustam do for you?
Rustam is a member of the Sports Law team at Mills & Reeve, with a focus on sports disputes and regulation. He has acted across a range of sports: football, athletics, boxing, sailing, canoeing, motorsport and golf.
Rustam has experience representing athletes, clubs, governing bodies, player associations, agents and administrators in contractual, employment, disciplinary, ethics, anti-doping and selection disputes before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and various international and national governing body tribunals, such as the FIFA Football Tribunal and the EFL's Player Related Dispute Commission.
Rustam also advises on a range of regulatory issues across sports.
He is also a member of the Anti-Doping and Arbitration Committees of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation and the England Boxing National Disciplinary Panel and is empanelled on the list of pro-bono counsel at the CAS.
What else should you know?
Rustam has authored several publications for sports law journals of international repute and has been invited to speak on sports law issues at conferences, academic institutions and on television. He holds a Master’s in International Sports Law from ISDE (Spain), having lived and worked in Mumbai, Madrid and Rome before moving to the UK.
