Supporting your ambitions
One of Tiran’s significant highlights was being appointed as an ad-hoc clerk by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the high profile case Anna Chicherova v International Olympic Committee (IOC). The case was a disciplinary matter involving a Russian high jumper who was retrospectively stripped of her bronze medal from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games by the IOC after testing positive for Turinabol. After a two day hearing in Switzerland, Tiran assisted the panel (an Australian Judge, and English and Austrian arbitrators) in drafting a detailed arbitral award dismissing the appeal.
What do others say?
Tiran was recognised as one of the leading sports lawyers in the world in Who's Who Legal: Sports and Entertainment 2018. Tiran was recognised as "an expert in international sports arbitration", and was highly recommended as an "extremely well-qualified and competent sports lawyer" by clients.
