Our cyber team are supported by the wealth of expertise across a range of specialist practice areas including our leading information law, data and privacy team.

• Advising insurers on coverage in relation to a multi-million dollar claim for business interruption losses. This followed a critical systems failure of a wholesale distribution centre.  
• Advising on multiple claims made against a household-name online comparison site. This was due to a boiler room scam that led to the inadvertent disclosure of hundreds of customers’ personal details.  
• Acting for a law firm to defend a claim from its client following the loss of £1.4million. This was paid to a fraudulent bank account in Turkey as a result of instructions provided by hacked and spoofed emails. We took steps to pursue recovery of the missing funds through Turkish criminal proceedings, an English freezing injunction and civil proceedings served in Turkey via the Hague Convention.
• Acting in connection with a data breach by a well-known retailer of high end goods. This was after a brute force attack on its network gave access to the credit card information of thousands of customers and resulted in a number of fraudulent transactions.
