We now have confirmation that Worcestershire County Council are seeking permission to appeal the Court of Appeal’s decision in the Worcestershire case to the Supreme Court.
The Department of Health and Social Care has updated its statutory guidance to reflect the County Council’s application which states that ordinary residence disputes raising similar issues to those in the Worcestershire case will continue to be stayed until a final decision is made by the Supreme Court.
