What can Claire do for you?
As a specialist in public procurement and public sector contracting, Claire has advised on some of the most high profile and complex procurements undertaken in the UK and beyond, including advising on procurement strategy, designing award criteria and defending challenges. Claire also acts for private sector clients who wish to understand their rights when bidding for public sector opportunities.
Supporting your ambitions
Both authorities and bidders wish to see further innovation and flexibility in public sector purchasing. Claire particularly enjoys helping public sector clients to structure innovative, compliant and commercially successful processes. This not only reduces the prospect of a procurement challenge, but also maximises the potential for a positive purchaser-supplier relationship moving forwards, as well as generating valuable know-how for the authority which can be utilised when conducting future procurements. Claire has also supported many private sector suppliers who believe that they have been treated unfairly, with the aim of preserving a positive relationship with the authority and avoiding formal action.
What do others say?
"I just wanted to again say a huge thank you to you for your support and efforts over the past 18 months. Without doubt we wouldn’t be anywhere close to the position we are in today without that!!"
What else should you know?
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Claire spent some nine years with Birmingham Chamber of Commerce which included experience of bidding for public sector contracts and advising businesses on the procurement methods and requirements of the international aid/donor agencies such as the United Nations, World Bank, EuropeAid, Regional Development Banks and other international NGOs/funding bodies.
